Sara Castellano

Sara focuses her attention on microarray data analysis. During her internship for master thesis, she has built on Cibersort algorithm, a web tool developed by Newman et al., to design a method that can predict the cell type fractions from the transcriptional data of both human and murine heterogeneous samples.To date, sara is still working on Cibersort to extend its usage for molecular subclassification of breast cancer samples. She is also approaching the phylogenetic study of Lymnaea Stagnalis, a freshwater snail which shows high potential as a new model for translational medicine.
