Currently pursuing his PhD in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine in Modena, Jimmy focuses his attention on innovate and develop bioinformatics software. Jimmy has worked extensively in coding softwares and websites, producing during his PhD project the web tool Mutation and Drugs Portal (MDP), published on Oncotarget in late 2015To date, Jimmy is still working on MDP as a main focus in his PhD project, implementing new features and extending the potential of his own tool. However, Jimmy’s work gravitates towards different aspects of bioinformatics: in fact, in early 2016 Jimmy developed APTANI, a python based software for the selection of aptamers derived from SELEX and HT-SELEX process, published on Bioinformatics.

Selected Publications:

APTANI, a computational tool to select aptamers through sequence-structure motif analysis of HT-SELEX data.
